After the explosive ending of season 5, fans were expecting a season 6 of Yellowstone. Unfortunately, makers crushed the expectations of millions of viewers by announcing an official end to the popular American neo-western drama.<\/p>

On May 5, 2023, Paramount first announced that the series would end with its fifth season. The major reason behind ending the series was a scheduling dispute with the main lead, Kevin Costner.\u00a0<\/p>

  • Scheduling Dispute:<\/strong> The main and biggest reason behind the end of Yellowstone after season 5 was a scheduling dispute. As we all know, season 5 was split into two parts, but it didn\u2019t sit well with Kevin Costner, who played John Dutton in the series. According to various industry reports, Costner was working on his own four-movie franchise, Horizon: An American Saga<\/b>, and the split schedule doesn\u2019t match the timing of his movies. It was said that the actor only wanted to shoot for a certain number of days, but it wouldn\u2019t be possible, as Costner is the lead actor on the show and needed to be on the set for more days. Costner himself confirmed that he is only going to film part one of season 5.<\/li>
